Dr Thabo Twala
Dr Thabo Twala is the founder and director of the A-Plus Clinic, bringing over 28 years of dental expertise to his practice. A graduate of Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) with a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) degree, he furthered his education at the London Dental Institute (LDI) to attain a postgraduate diploma in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, PGDip (Ortho).
Dr. Twala is an all-round practitioner, versatile in all facets of clinical dentistry, but with a special interest orthodontics. In pursuit of this passion, he established the Ortho Academy, dedicated to training dentists across South Africa and neighboring countries in orthodontics, aiming to make orthodontic treatment accessible and affordable to thei broader community.
Dedicated to his mission of providing high-quality dental care, the A-Plus Clinic under Dr. Twala’s leadership envisions delivering comprehensive and advanced dental services to the community. Beyond his clinical endeavors, he serves as the chairperson of the Dental Professional Association, advocating for dental professionals in South Africa, offering continuing professional development, and providing mentorship to aspiring young dental professionals.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Twala enjoys expressing his passion for soccer and finds solace in hiking as a recreational hobby.
Letlotlo Mookeletsi
Originally from Mafikeng in the North West Province, Letlotlo Mookeletsi is a versatile professional juggling multiple roles. Currently serving as the Practice Manager at A-plus Clinic Midrand and holding the position of Executive Assistant to the Dental Professionals Association, she earned her degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 2019.
Letlotlo is a driven individual who is committed to getting the job done efficiently. Her approach is focused on achieving results without unnecessary embellishments. She firmly believes in the capabilities of young black women and demonstrates that with a determined mindset, one can overcome challenges and achieve goals.
Beyond her professional commitments, Letlotlo enjoys outdoor activities, sports, makeup artistry, church engagement, and fine dining. Her values center around family, love, integrity, and contributing to the community.
Letlotlo Mookeletsi’s professional demeanor and commitment to her responsibilities make her a valuable asset in her roles.
Dr Maipato Kgokong
Dr. Maipato Goitseone Kgokong, hailing from Itsoseng, earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. Her academic journey began in 2013 at WITS University, pursuing Civil Engineering. Financial challenges led to discontinuation in 2014, but her resilience brought her back to Sefako Makgatho in 2015, culminating in her Dentistry degree in 2019.
She holds a foundation level certificate in implantology from the International Team of Implantology (ITI), earned in 2023. After completing community service in 2020, she joined Mafikeng Dental Centre in January 2021, later moving to Era Dental Surgery until December 2023. Specializing in Endodontics and Implantology, Dr. Kgokong’s passion for Dentistry dates back to her primary school days, where she dreamt of making a difference one smile at a time.
Her commitment is evident in the satisfaction she imparts to each patient. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Kgokong is a talented singer, dancer, and writer, showcasing her artistic prowess. As a young black female overcoming challenges, she aspires to be an influential figure in Dentistry through hard work and dedication.
Maphefo Maruma
Maphefo Maruma is an accomplished Oral Hygienist, holding Sciences and honors degree in Psychology. Her educational journey led her to graduate from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, shaping the foundation for her expertise in oral health.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Maphefo is an ambivert who finds joy in practicing yoga and creating meaningful memories. She approaches life with a unique perspective, believing that every encounter with individuals presents an opportunity to gain insights and view life from different angles.
Maphefo Maruma’s commitment to oral health, coupled with her diverse interests and open-minded approach, reflects a well-rounded individual dedicated to both professional excellence and personal well-being.
Ms. Selokela Catherine Moremi
Ms. Catherine , a native of Limpopo’s Bochum Township, stands as a distinguished Oral Hygienist who graduated in the class of 2021 from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, also known as MEDUNSA.
Her academic journey began in 2014 at SMU, where she pursued a Bachelor’s of Science degree with a major in Psychology. Post-graduation, fueled by her passion for creating beautiful smiles and promoting oral hygiene through cosmetic and preventative dentistry, Catherine embarked on her professional journey in 2022 at Mafikeng Dental Centre under Dr. T. Twala. Later, she transitioned to A-plus Clinic (Centre of Advanced Dentistry) Midrand branch.
Catherine’s goal is to inspire the youth to overcome the mindset that “pursuing more than one degree is a waste of time.” Holding two degrees herself, she firmly believes it’s never too late to start anew and pursue one’s dreams. As an Oral Hygienist, her aspiration is to educate and create awareness about oral health, emphasizing its importance in overall well-being.
In her personal life, Catherine, a mother of two, finds joy in cooking and baking, relishing the warmth that the aroma of freshly baked goods brings to her home, especially on Saturday mornings. Game nights and Sunday luncheons after church are among her cherished pastimes, adding a delightful balance to her professional endeavors.
Malejwetsa Nyaile
an alumna of Central University of Technology, brings her expertise to A-plus Clinic as the dedicated accounts manager. Her journey at the university not only equipped her with a solid educational foundation but also instilled in her a passion for fostering meaningful connections. In the dynamic realm of finance and accounts, Malejwetsa finds joy in the tranquil moments, appreciating the serenity that life offers.
Her role at A-plus Clinic extends beyond the numerical intricacies of accounts; it encompasses a commitment to the beauty of peaceful interactions. Malejwetsa thrives on creating genuine connections with people, valuing each encounter as an opportunity to contribute positively to both her professional endeavors and personal relationships. Her tranquil soul and dedication to fostering a harmonious atmosphere make her an invaluable asset to the clinic and a beacon of serenity in the bustling world of accounts management.
Rethabile Peza
I’m Rethabile Peza, currently serving as a dental assistant at A-plus Clinic Midrand. My academic journey led me to the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein, where I successfully completed my studies and earned my qualification as a dental assistant in 2022.
Choosing this career path wasn’t just a professional decision; it’s deeply rooted in my passion for working with people and witnessing the positive impact a beautiful smile can have on someone’s life. The ability to bring joy and happiness to others through my work is what truly motivates me.
Beyond the professional realm, I would describe myself as a bubbly and sociable individual who genuinely enjoys socializing and uplifting those around me with heartfelt compliments. My commitment to family is evident in my role as a single mother to a delightful 7-year-old girl. Being family-oriented is an integral part of who I am, and it adds a profound layer to both my personal and professional life.

Londiwe Mbongwa, at 42 years old, is an individual recognized for her exceptional communication skills and adeptness in cultivating positive relationships. In team settings, she is known for her professionalism and unwavering commitment to following instructions. Beyond her interpersonal strengths, Londiwe has carved a niche as a dedicated cleaning expert. Driven by a passion for transforming spaces into organized and inviting areas, she brings a meticulous approach to her work. Londiwe’s extensive experience and steadfast dedication converge to create environments that radiate both order and warmth.
